Your role in making team discovery happen — from start to results.
The Discovery Lead is the designated point of contact who organizes, coordinates, and manages the entire Team Discovery process — from setup through to receiving the final results.
This role is not about completing the discovery for the team. It is about making sure the discovery happens smoothly, that every team member has what they need to participate, and that the results reach the right hands at the right time.
Think of the Discovery Lead as the person who holds the process together so the coach and the team can focus on what matters most: honest, meaningful discovery work.
The Discovery Lead initiates the process. This includes setting up the team discovery, confirming the list of participating team members, and ensuring everything is in place before invitations go out. They are the person who makes the decision to begin.
The Discovery Lead is responsible for coordinating and completing payment for the team discovery. Access to the discovery tools and final results is linked to this step being completed.
Once the discovery is active, the Discovery Lead receives the individual participation links and is responsible for sending them to each team member. This includes:
When the allocated time for the team to complete the discovery has closed, the Discovery Lead is the designated recipient of the consolidated team results report. This report brings together the individual responses into an overall team profile — including cultural intelligence analysis, team size impact, and coaching recommendations.
The Discovery Lead is responsible for deciding how and when to share these results with the team and the coaching facilitator.
Throughout the process — before, during, and after the discovery — the Discovery Lead is the main point of contact for:
| Stage | Discovery Lead Action |
|---|---|
| Setup | Initiates the team discovery; confirms participant list |
| Payment | Coordinates and completes payment for the discovery |
| Activation | Receives individual participation links |
| Distribution | Sends links and instructions to all team members; communicates the completion deadline |
| Follow-up | Monitors participation; reminds team members as deadline approaches |
| Completion | Receives the consolidated team results report once the discovery window closes |
| Debrief | Serves as primary contact with the Discovery Coach Team for all follow-up and coaching |
The Discovery Coach Team is available to support you at every stage. If you have questions about the platform, the results, or next steps, reach out — that is what the coaching team is there for.
Individual responses are private. The consolidated results report you receive reflects the team as a whole — not attributed to specific individuals. Please handle the results with the discretion and care that your team's trust deserves.
The discovery window has a set duration. Once it closes, team members who have not completed their individual discovery will not be included in the consolidated results. We recommend sending reminders at least 48 hours before the deadline.
The tone and care with which you share the discovery links, explain the purpose, and communicate the value of participation directly influences how seriously team members engage. A brief personal note from you — explaining why this matters for the team — goes a long way.
For any questions, technical support, or follow-up at any stage of the process, the Discovery Lead can contact the Discovery Coach Team directly. We are here to make sure your team gets the most from this experience.
